Event Information
What it involves:
.22LR rifle shooting involves shooting prone (lying down) at a distance of 25 yards, with the aim being to score as highly as possible out of 100.
Our expert coaches will guide you through range safety, how to operate a smallbore rifle, and how to get the best score possible. You should expect to be at the range for around two hours, and in this time you will be able to shoot up to 20 rounds of live ammunition.
Transport:
Transport to the Penarth range will be provided either in the form of a minibus or car departing from the Students' Union. We will make sure that you are completely confident with where you need to go and what you need to do.

If you wish to come join us on a Wednesday or a Saturday, all you need to do is buy the package located at the top of this page. After that, a member of the Rifle Committee will be in touch with you to provide available dates and organise your session!
Session Cost

The cost is £10. This includes transport, the use of rifles and the range, 1-2-1 coaching, and 20 rounds of ammunition. If you would prefer to make your own way to the range that's absolutely fine. We want everyone to feel comfortable and confident and can cover your needs when we get in touch.
